Here is the complete information about your first Umrah after covid19 restrictions.

1- Vaccination: Most important thing to keep in mind is you have to be fully vaccinated before planning for umrah. As per Saudi law, the pilgrims should have received one among four approved vaccines in KSA mentioned below:  Pilgrims with these vaccines can perform umrah on arrival.

• Moderna

• Pfizer/BioNTech

• Janssen (Johnson & Johnson)

• Oxford/AstraZeneca

2- For Non approved vaccines: Saudi Arabia has also decided to allow foreign travellers to enter in KSA who are fully vaccinated with either Sinopharm or Sinovac with a booster shot of any of four approved vaccines mentioned above.

3- For those who have received their vaccines outside KSA: Those who have received covid19 vaccines outside Saudi Arabia, they can register themselves on their app " Sehhaty | صحتي " and get approval of their vaccination certificates and their immunization status will be updated. Also, they would have to quarantine themselves for three days before performing umrah by now.

4- PCR: Pilgrims who do not have a negative PCR result from an authorized lab will not be allowed to board on flight. The test must be done not more than 72 hours before arriving Saudi Arabia.

5- Age Limit: The overseas Muslims aged above 18 are allowed to perform Umrah. Earlier, authorities had limited permits for performing umrah for overseas Muslims to those aged from 18 to 50 years. But later, they dropped the idea and age limit left only above 18 which means above 50 years old can also perform umrah.

6- Hotel,Flight and Transport: Hotels, flight and transport all arrangements should be done before visa. Pilgrims can use their own hotels and transports either they want to book a private car or other customized facilities. They have to inform their umrah company for this.

7- Arrival Intimation: KSA has launched a new service which will allow foreign pilgrims to apply for umrah permits and access to the Grand Mosque and Prophet’s Mosque. They have introduced a new application (Eatmarna إعتمرنا) for online booking slots to perform umrah.

8- Performing one Umrah is allowed: Performing one umrah is allowed on arrival if you are fully vaccinated with KSA approved vaccines. In case, you want to perform another umrah then you have to contact your hotel management or download the app. Eatmarna " إعتمرنا " launched by Saudi ministry of Hajj and Umrah to enable those who want to perform umrah and visit the two Holy Mosques.
